Love Island star Iain Stirling's ITV2 game show, CelebAbility, has been axed after seven seasons. The Sun reports that the comedy game show, launched in 2017 to follow the Love Island audience, was deemed "tired" by bosses.
Iain, who provides the narration for Love Island, presented the show alongside regular celebrity guests Scarlett Moffatt and Stacey Solomon. The show saw showbiz stars go up against members of the public in various challenges, as they showed of their unique talents.
An insider told The Sun: "CelebAbility had a decent run, but ultimately the format was a bit tired, and celeb panel shows can feel dated.
"Bosses are always keen to try new ideas and invest in fresh telly projects. It's time for a change, and Iain isn't short of work."
An ITV spokesman confirmed that "there are no current plans for another series."
Some ITV viewers have also expressed their disinterest in the show, taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their opinion.
One person said: "#CelebAbility not really working for me; just looks like random bits of other shows held together with gaffer tape."
While another added: "I'm not sure anyone watches anymore."
It comes as Iain, who has been narrating Love Island since 2015, recently announced a brand new venture with his partner and former Love Island host Laura Whitmore.
The couple has launched a new true-crime podcast called Murder They Wrote on BBC Radio 5 Live, telling the stories of some of the most notorious criminals.
Each episode will see the 'partners in crime' telling a disturbing real-life story, ranging from a dentist turned hitman to a kidnapper who had a strange place to hide his victims.
Laura said: "I'm so excited to bring our true-crime obsession to BBC Sounds. I love the psychology of it all, getting into people's mindsets and finding out what makes them tick.
"In our new podcast on BBC Sounds, Iain and I will take it in turns to surprise each other with tales of historical true crime cases that are sure to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end."
Iain Stirling said: "If, like us, you're curious about how a honeymoon turned into a horror story or the curious case of the hitman dentist, then this is the podcast for you.
"Join us as we dive right into the past and encounter some of the darkest criminals in history."
