S Club Juniors star Stacey McClean has split from her husband Fraser Franks after a decade together.
The pop star, 34, who shot to fame during the 2000s in the spin off S Club 7 group, took to Instagram on Thursday to confirm her separation from her footballer husband, 33. The couple had been together for 10 years and said their daughter Nellie, four years old, is "the only thing that matters" following the split.
Sharing the news with her 15K followers alongside a snap of their daughter, Stacey wrote: "Hello. I think enough time has passed to be able to talk openly about what has been happening in my life lately.
"I'm not a big fan of sharing personal stuff on here, however – many of you have noticed a few changes…
"Fraser and I, after 10 wonderful years together have made the difficult decision to amicably separate. As many of you know, when children are involved, decisions such as these are not taken lightly.
"We walk away with nothing but love for each other and the only thing that matters to us is Nellie, for without each-other we wouldn't have been blessed with her."
Stacey and Fraser tied the knot in 2017, two years after he popped the question while on the rooftop of a hotel in Phuket, Thailand. Before meeting her husband the pop singer dated Lawson guitarist Ryan Fletcher before they split in 2013.
The 34 year old shot to fame in S Club Juniors back in 2002 with the likes of Frankie Bridge and Rochelle Humes. The pop group had hits such as One Step Closer, Automatic High and Puppy Love before they disbanded in 2005.
Unwilling to give up on her dream of being a musical superstar, Stacey turned her hand to The X factor in the hopes of achieving stardom. Competing in the 2009 edition of the show, Stacey flew threw boot camp and even earned herself a coveted place at the Judgeโs Houses stage.
Performing in front of musical royalty, Stacey was tasked with trying to impress judge Dannii Minogue and her sister Kylie in Dubai but sadly failed to get through to the live shows. Despite the disappointment, Stacey continued singing and in 2010 went on a 6-month tour of the UK as one of the stars of all singing all dancing stage production G*Mania.
Nowadays, she mostly works in radio but still continues to sing in her spare time. She is a proud mum to daughter Nellie born in 2019, and has two successful clothing brands under her belt, Little Franks and Missy Franks.
Fraser is a former professional footballer who played as a defender for AFC Wimbledon, Luton Town, Stevenage and Newport County.
