Her first skincare tool, Trinny created the Plump Up Microneedle to combat the woes some people have when heading to the salon for a microneedling session, as some leave salons bleeding, or their skin red raw – which Trinny stressed should not be the case.
So enter the Trinny microneedle, which allows customers to reap the benefits of the skincare trend without causing more harm to our skin, or pain.
The microneedle has been created using a stainless steel needle head, instead of stainless steel, for hygiene reasons, while the 540 needles measure 0.5mm.
These are the perfect solution to create tiny microchannels to encourage the skin's natural healing process, without harm.
The Plump Up Microneedle, and microneedling in general, works to open these microchannels to encourage the skin to heal and regenerate for a more glowing complexion, and plumper skin.
Microneedling not only encourages collagen production, but can even uneven skin tone and texture, minimise enlarged pores, as well as fine and deeper lines, so it is perfect for anyone of any age.
These microchannels enable active ingredients to absorb easily and deeper into the skin, though Trinny recommends using hydrating hyaluronic acids after microneedling, and only use three times a week and in the evenings, though this depends on your skin's sensitivity.
Trinny recommends double cleansing at night before using the derma roller in a cross-hatch direction on the skin, instead of dragging the tool, which can tear your delicate skin.
Trinny stressed wheeling the derma roller in small sections on your forehead, cheeks, chin, neck and décolletage, twice horizontally and twice vertically, but do not push into the skin, or apply force, be gentle.
Follow with applying hyaluronic acid to hydrate your skin, and your evening skincare routine is complete – it's that simple.
When you feel the needles are becoming blunt you can swap them out for new – which is typically after 24 uses.
We will be putting Trinny London's Plump Up Microneedle to the test, so stay tuned for our honest thoughts.
However, a few days in and I am already blown away by the results, especially as I have never had microneedling before in fear of the vampiric aftermath look, which is not true with this compact gadget.
