Those with a sweet tooth are in for a treat, as Quality street have announced a big change this Christmas, by adjusting two staple flavours.

The much-loved tubs are a popular fixture n the homes of many Brits during the festive season.

But this year the Nestlé confectionery assortment is shaking things up, having opted to change the shape of two fan-favourite flavours.

Both, the Purple One and the Orange Crunch will be shaped differently for a limited time.

The two will take the form of the Caramel Swirl, which is more circular in shape and is decorated with a twirl pattern, while being encased in gold-coloured wrapping.

Fans should not fear as the price of a tub and the taste of the two emblematic flavours are set to stay the same

The Purple One and The Orange Crunch will be seeing a slight adjustment in shape during the holidays

Normally, the Orange Crunch is shaped like a hexagon, while The Purple One is a combination of an oval and a dome.

Both chocolates will take the appearance of the caramel swirl, making it difficult for fans of the sweet treat to decipher between the two when they are outside of their original purple and orange wrapping.

However, there is no need for chocolate lovers to fear because the two tasty flavours will remain the same, despite the shape change.

But, avid Quality Street buyers will have to be observant because the shape change of the two flavours will only happen for a limited time – and they won’t be popping up in the same place either.

The circle shaped Orange Crunch flavour will only be available in Quality Street chocolates tins.

While the new-look Purple Ones can only be bought as a part of The Purple One pouches.

But they will not be included in every single one of the Nestlé chocolate bags, so it is best to have a keen eye if you are wanting to get your hands on them.

Jemma Handley, Senior Brand Manager for Quality Street, said: ‘We are trialling a different shape for two of our sweets this Christmas season.

‘We know how iconic Quality Street sweets are and we have made sure that it is the same great tasting Purple One and Orange Crunch that people know and love inside their iconic coloured wrappers.’

The confectionery brand is introducing a range of new changes in the run up to the festive season, also announcing a new Quality Street bar.

The brand-new Quality Street Collisions Hazelnut and Caramel Chocolate bar couples a smooth hazelnut filling with indulgent caramel.

This comes after Quality Street pick’n’mix made a return to John Lewis Christmas shops, after being absent from shelves for two decades.

Customers can fill up a 1.2kg tin for £15, and are able to select up to 12 different chocolates, including the previously discontinued Coffee Creme.

Tins can be customised with a name for a price of £17 before being filled to the brim with some of your favourites, such as Caramel Swirl and Strawberry Delight.

An old Quality Street tin can be refilled for only £12.50 in one of the John Lewis Christmas shops.
