Brit tourist dies after being pulled unconscious from water at holiday hotspot | The Sun

A BRITISH man has died in Greece after being pulled unconscious from the sea.

The 57-year-old was found yesterday on a beach in Zakynthos and taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

It comes after a 4-year-old boy was swept out to sea in the same village, Laganas, just yesterday.

Despite wearing a life jacket, the child was dragged away from the shore by strong winds before being later rescued by emergency services.

According to local reports, the man was given emergency first aid from a lifeguard after he was pulled from the sea.

He was then taken by ambulance to Zakynthos Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Neither the man or the boy have been named.

Earlier in the summer, another Brit lost their life on the same island after being crushed by his overturned quad bike while on holiday.

A second 19-year-old British national was inside the vehicle, but suffered only minor injuries.

That same week, two Irish teens lost their lives on the island of Ios.
