Disaster for Putin as Zelensky retaliates overnight after ‘biggest day of war’

Russia suffered a “mass drone attack” overnight after Ukrainian drones targeted areas deep into Russian territory, including Moscow,

This comes just 24 hours after Russia launched more than 75 Iranian-made Shahed drones at Kyiv – its biggest drone attack on the capital since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine began last year.

Russia’s defence ministry said that at least 20 drones had been shot down over regions, such as Tula, Kaluga and Bryansk.

At least one person was injured in Tula when debris from a Ukranian drone struck an apartment building. Security footage shared on social media shows several explosions in Tula, with one video showing the blast setting off dozens of car alarms.

The drone attack even shut down Moscow’s main airports, with all overnight flights delayed or cancelled.
