A YouTuber has shared graphic footage of a hoarder's disgusting kitchen before spending two days transforming it for her – for free.

Midwest Magic Cleaning shares videos of their epic cleans on the self-broadcasting site. One includes a biohazard kitchen where every surface was caked in maggots.

The clip, which has had over three million views, shows grime-laden worktops piled high with dirty dishes and clutter. The floor is barely visible beneath mountains of rubbish and utensils have been left so sticky, some were stuck to the wall.

"I'm trying to figure out where to start on this one," the narrator of the video admits.

Pointing his camera to dozens of maggots on the surfaces and all over the floor, he adds: "I'm sorry because that's not rice."

"Pretty much every inch of this kitchen is covered in dead maggots and we're talking millions of them."

Starting his mammoth task by clearing the rubbish on the floor, he says: "You can tell she's got a fixation with Pepsi…My goal in this clean up is to make a safe room for her to exist."

As the clean-up begins, the filmmaker shares his top tips and cleaning hacks and after removing pans and litter from the dirt-encrusted hob, he explains how the crockery will have to be binned, showing the viewers a pan crawling with more critters.

Wearing protective gloves and a mask during the big clean, he says: "Everything in this kitchen was contaminated."

As a kindhearted gesture, he said he will replace her microwave and buy her some new pans.

After spending two days on the single-handed mission, the narrator says: "I could spend another 10 hours in this kitchen getting every square inch of it sterilised, but for what we're doing, which is making this safe enough for her to use right off the bat, it's a pretty big transformation."

He adds: "I did not do the inside of the fridge, that's something I can't get to yet. And even the freezer smells like dead bodies. It's really, really bad in there."

The American cleaning saviour says a deep-clean of that magnitude would normally cost around $1,000.

"I did it for free because I like to help out. There's no way this woman has the money to pay for something like this, so if I can help her then awesome," he said.

The video attracted thousands of likes and comments.

One viewer wrote: "Reminds me of my own apartment, minus the maggots. I fell into a pretty deep depression and couldn’t keep up anymore, trash just piled up.

"Finally worked up the courage to call my dad and we worked through it together, now I’m staying on top of things and feeling good.

"Remember guys, if you struggle with hoarding, please, I urge you to reach out to family, even if it’s embarrassing, they love you and want to help."

Another wrote: "As someone who suffers with depression, it gets to a point where living is almost too hard so the last thing you can do is clean. People like you are the best people. No judgement. Just help."

One said: "I'm so glad you humanized her. Depression, trauma and other mental health problems are incredibly serious and can lead you to lose all hope and not be able to think straight."
