An inmate has been "stabbed" at HMP Wandsworth just days after ex-British Army man Daniel Khalife escaped the prison.
The unnamed man is said to be in a critical condition and was taken to a major trauma centre by ambulance after emergency services were called just after 3pm today, September 10.
An incident between two prisoners is believed to have broken out, with an air ambulance also present at the scene of the "stabbing".

Police reports indicate an inmate was assaulted in the prison at around 3.20pm, with no arrests made as of this time.
A statement from the Prison Service read: "Staff swiftly responded to an incident between prisoners at HMP Wandsworth today.
"We have a zero tolerance approach to violence and will always take strong action against those who break these rules."
The alleged stabbing comes just days after Khalife, 21, absconded from the prison, clinging to the undercarriage of a van while dressed as a chef.
Khalife, who was held at the prison on charges of breaching the Official Secrets Act over a three-year period between May 2019 and January 2022, had been held at HMP Wandsworth.
Police updates regarding Khalife confirmed he had been charged today, September 10, after escaping from the prison and evading police for 75 hours.
Khalife's breakout and subsequent detainment is unrelated to the stabbing which has left a prisoner in a critical condition.
The 21-year-old will appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 11 September.
A police update read: "On the 6th day of September 2023, then being a prisoner in his Majesty’s prison at Wandsworth, being remanded in custody pending trial as ordered at the Central Criminal Court on the 21st day of July 2023, escaped, contrary to common law."
