‘Rocket attacks’ in the Dnipro area of Kyiv have reportedly left 13 people in hospital and another 12 needing medical treatment.
Kyiv Mayor, former heavyweight boxer Vitali Klitschko, claimed an apartment building was targeted by the attack. On Telegram, he said 15 people had to be evacuated from the building.
Klitschko also said a children’s hospital was damaged in Dnipro. He claimed windows were damaged and the main entrance damaged in blasts.
A translation of Klitschko’s Telegram message reads: “As a result of a night rocket attack by the enemy in the Dnipro district of the capital, an apartment building was damaged. Rescuers evacuated 15 residents from it, including four children and two disabled people. Cars were also burning in the yard of this building.

“A private house in the Dnipro district and a fragment of a rocket that fell on an open area in the Desnyan district were also on fire.
“The premises of a children’s hospital in the Dnipro district were also damaged. There, the windows were broken and the central entrance of the institution was damaged.
“Twenty-three people were injured. Eleven were hospitalized in the capital’s hospital, 12 received medical help on the spot. All the victims are from the Dnipro district of the city.”
The former heavyweight later confirmed medics revised the number of injuries to 13 in hospital as well as the 12 people treated at the scene.
