Landslip blocks all train services between Leeds and Huddersfield – as commuters face huge delays | The Sun

A LANDSLIDE has today closed train services between Leeds and Huddersfield – causing travel chaos.

Commuters are now being warned of huge delays after the slip blocked the tracks in Dewsbury.

Trains are now having to be diverted around the landslide, with services expected to be impacted until around 3pm.

Traffic monitor Inrix states: "Services being diverted on Northern and Trans Pennine Express Southbound between Leeds and Huddersfield due to landslip at Dewsbury.

"Services may divert where possible. Expect delays Northbound."

National Rail said: "Due to a landslip between Leeds and Huddersfield, some lines are blocked.

"As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or diverted via Bradford Interchange.
