Controversial royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “would not be welcome” to spend Christmas with the Royal Family, an insider has claimed.
Just 24 hours after it was reported that the couple were being invited to spend part of the Christmas holidays with the King, it has now been claimed that they would not get the warmest of receptions if they turned up at Sandringham. Yesterday, a source said: “I can't imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays.”
However, an insider has thrown scorn on that rumour, and claimed that as much as the pair might want to build bridges and attend a family Christmas get together, the chances of it happening the way they want are very, very slim. The insider claimed, when speaking to the Daily Mail : “It seems as if they are really doubling down on their reconciliation strategy.

“It's so bizarre to have behaved so badly, demanded an apology and an admission of 'guilt' — to no avail, I might add — from the family and now suggest they'll just waltz back in and allow bygones to be bygones if only someone would be good enough invite them.
“Which begs the question, why now? Is it something to do with the fact that some of their commercial deals, such as Spotify, have fallen around their ears and they have been subject to ridicule in the U.S. in shows such as South Park and Family Guy?'

No details of the Royal Family's Christmas plans have been made public yet, and never normally are until around two weeks before. The Daily Star has, as always, reached out to Meghan and Harry's team for a comment.
