I won £1million in National Lottery… I almost didn't enter but woke with the 'strongest feeling ever' 24 hours before | The Sun

A mum-of-five has told how she won £1million in the National Lottery after almost forgetting to enter.

Ceri Ann Roscoe-Roberts, 42, from Bangor, woke up on Friday with a strong feeling she needed to enter her usual numbers.

And when she woke up again the next day she found out she'd won.

She said: "There was just something telling me when I woke on Saturday morning that I had won big on The National Lottery.

"It was the strangest feeling ever.

"I picked up my phone and looked at my emails and there was one saying there was news about my ticket."

She was one of ten lucky players who were made UK millionaires overnight.

Out of the ten winners only three have claimed their prizepot, leaving seven players unaware that they are now millionaires.

She added: “I logged into my National Lottery account and there was the confirmation, I was indeed a millionaire.

“I had to pinch myself as I thought I was somehow in the middle of a dream and none of this was actually real.”

Ceri admitted that she doesn't usually play The National Lottery but purchases tickets sometimes as her way of donating to charity.

Ceri, who is a manager of a domiciliary care company and her husband Paul, 45, a golf course manager say they have no plans to give up work.

But both are looking forward to using the money to buy a house with more space for their three dogs.

They'll also get a new car each.

Avid golfer Paul has already splashed the winnings on a new set of golf clubs.

After finding out she had won, Ceri was quickly brought back to reality and had to take the kids to football practice.

Ceri said: "We actually made the call to The National Lottery from the car as one of our sons was playing football, so we all heard the news together and the voice of the lady on the end of the phone saying, ‘I can confirm you are now millionaires.’

"I am surprised the car didn’t overturn, it was shaking with the jubilation of us all shouting, screaming and jumping up and down inside.

She added: "My son who was playing football at the time, returned to the car disappointed because his team had lost, but I just simply said to him – 'don’t worry son, losing the football game doesn’t matter – we’ve won the lottery.'"

It comes after The National Lottery revealed seven players have not cashed in their million-pound tickets.

And an army veteran won a life-changing Postcode Lottery before his wife decided how to spend every penny.

This woman won a £1.8 million jackpot but ended up surviving on universal credit 18 years later.
