And being cheaper than Spain and Greece, Agadir is an excellent destination for a beach holiday that won't break the bank.

The town was rebuilt in the 1960s after a disastrous earthquake, making it the largest seaside resort in Morocco.

The destination is on to visit throughout the year, with temperatures never dipping below the 20s, even in December and January.

While the summertime highs are typically above 29C.

Most tourists go to Agadir to surf and relax by the beach, thanks to the waves and pleasant weather all summer.

However, the marketplaces and Souk El Had are also a big hit, with more than 6,000 kiosks with food, spices, handmade items, fabrics and jewellery.

There are also many options for dining and drinking on the marina.

But there are also plenty of day trips to waterfalls, the Atlas Mountains and the Agafay desert.
