Sun Online Travel's resident flight attendant previously warned: "The tray tables can be disgusting – I'd always recommend bringing some alcohol wipes and giving it a clean before you sit down.
"Trust me, I've seen people using the trays to change their baby's nappies, rest their bare feet and all sorts. You don't want to be eating off that, do you?
"As much as we'd love to give everything a thorough scrub, we don't always have time to and it's always better to be safe than sorry.
